Jose Miguel Sokoloff

Jose Miguel Sokoloff is a renowned Colombian advertising executive recognized for his innovative campaigns addressing social and political issues. He is the Global President of MullenLowe Group's Creative Council and the Chief Creative Officer of MullenLowe Group UK, an international advertising and marketing communications network.

Born and raised in Colombia, he began his advertising career in the early 1980s. In 1996 he co-founded the advertising agency Lowe SSP3 which eventually became part of the MullenLowe Group. Jose Miguel is perhaps best known for his work on campaigns aimed at encouraging guerilla fighters in the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) to demobilize. One campaign involved decorating jungle trees with Christmas lights and messages of peace to encourage guerrilla fighters to lay down their arms and return home for the holidays.

His innovative and impactful work has won numerous awards including multiple Cannes Lions, the advertising industry's most prestigious award. His use of advertising to promote peace and social change has been recognized by various organizations and media outlets, and he has spoken about his work at events like TEDGlobal. Jose Miguel has been recognized by Business Insider as one of the 100 most influential advertising figures worldwide and by Ad Age as one of the 50 most creative people.
